A Frequency Independent Technique to Estimate Harmonics and Interharmonics in Shipboard Microgrids

چکیده

Modern maritime microgrid systems are witnessing a revolutionary advancement by integrating more renewable energy sources and storage systems. The integration of these sophisticated is achieved, however, through the power electronics converters that cause severe harmonic contamination. This problem becomes serious when some harmonics non-integer multiples fundamental (inter-harmonics) exist concurrently with both system frequency drifts large-power transients, which commune issue in such as shipboard microgrids. Hence, performance widely signal processing algorithms applied measurement communication smart meters quality analyzers tends to worsen. To address this paper proposes an effective method based on eigenvalue solution estimate inter-harmonics modern effectively. method, independent technique can work effectively even under large short window width. proposed evaluated MATLAB software, then experimental validation carried out via analyzing electrical current bulk carrier ship.

A Power Quality Instrument for Harmonics Interharmonics and Amplitude Disturbances Measurements

− In the last years the increased interest about power quality, forced international working groups to define new standards for testing and measurement techniques. In this paper a pc-based power quality instrument is proposed, according to IEC 61000-4-7 and standard IEC 61000-4-30. It is a low-cost and easily reconfigurable instrument able to measure harmonics, interharmonics and amplitude dist...

A scalable line-independent design algorithm for voltage and frequency control in AC islanded microgrids

We propose a decentralized control synthesis procedure for stabilizing voltage and frequency in AC Islanded microGrids (ImGs), i.e. electrical networks composed of interconnected Distributed Generation Units (DGUs), power lines and loads. The presented approach enables Plug-and-Play (PnP) operations, meaning that DGUs can be arbitrarily added or removed without compromising the overall ImG stab...

Selective compensation of voltage harmonics in grid-connected microgrids

In this paper, a novel approach is proposed for selective compensation of main voltage harmonics in a grid-connected microgrid. The aim of compensation is to provide a high voltage quality at the point of common coupling (PCC). PCC voltage quality is of great importance due to sensitive loads that may be connected. It is assumed that the voltage harmonics are originated from distortion in grid ...
